About the club
Economics is more human than it looks on a graph.
We help students build strong fundamentals, test ideas in conversation, and use economics to understand choices, institutions, and everyday life.
Our purpose
Serious learning, without the intimidating room.
The Economics Society is a student-led space for learning together. We offer tutoring in core concepts and AP/IB courses, host open discussions, prepare for academic competitions, and help members begin small research projects.
Our events connect classroom models with current questions. Members can listen to guest speakers, work through case studies, debate policy, or simply get unstuck on an essay.
We care about intellectual honesty, generous feedback, and making the subject accessible. You do not need to arrive with expertise—only curiosity.
How we work
Built around three simple values.
Stay curious
Ask what a model explains, where it fails, and whose choices it affects.
Learn together
Share what you know, make space for questions, and help others find clarity.
Follow the evidence
Use data carefully, challenge easy claims, and remain open to changing your mind.
